Welcome

All children have a right to be supported by both parents. When parents who do not live with their children fail to provide the financial support they should, the children may suffer.

In Tennessee, the Department of Human Services (DHS) administers the child support program. MAXIMUS provides child support services to the following counties:
  Anderson County
  Hamilton County
  Crocket, Gibson and Haywood Counties
Fayette, Hardeman, Lauderdale, McNairy, and Tipton Counties.
  Obion and Weakley Counties

The Tennessee Department of Human Services (DHS) is funding these child support offices and any complaints, suggestions or recommendations can be reported to the Department of Human Services at 1-800-838-6911.

We work with both parents to ensure that payments are made and that case information is complete and up to date.

We provide the following child support services:
  Process applications for service
Locate a parent whose whereabouts are unknown
  Establish paternity of a child
Establish and enforce court orders for child support payments and/or medical insurance
Review and modify child support orders and
Collect child support through income tax refund intercept and other enforcement actions.

We provide services to the children and families that receive Families First benefits as well as families not receiving state benefits.

The law does not allow us to help you:
  Resolve custody or visitation disputes
  Handle restraining orders or harassment
  Handle divorce proceedings
