If your child support case is filed with our program and you believe that you have not received proper service, you should contact us. We will try to resolve your concern.
After you contact us, if you are not satisfied with the results, you can request a review of your complaint by filling out the Client Complaint Form or by sending a letter to:

You will receive a written reply to your complaint. This means that the review process is finished.
This process does not replace your right to any administrative hearing that you are entitled to.

All Tennessee child support offices have an appeal process for actions taken and decisions made about child support. You can appeal decisions and actions and request a hearing by completing a written request for review. Here is what you need to do:

There are deadlines for filing your review or appeal:
|
Appeals dealing with administrative enforcement action such as federal income tax issues, liens, seizures, credit bureau referrals, passport denials and other actions must be received within 15 days of the date of the notice of the enforcement action. |
|
Appeals for license revocation cases must be received within 20 days of the notice of the revocation. |
|
If you disagree with the distribution of a child support payment, you must first contact Customer Service to try and resolve the disagreement. If your disagreement cannot be resolved within 30 days, an administrative hearing is scheduled. You will be notified in writing of the results of the hearing. You can then continue the appeal process if you so choose. |
